The Yoga of Bondage and Imprisonment: A Case Study of Imran Khan’s Health Issues in Prison

Imran Khan’s sister has alleged that the jailed former Prime Minister of Pakistan is being tortured and subjected to psychological pressure inside Adiala Jail. The government, however, stated that Khan was moved back to prison after doctors declared him medically fit.
After reading this news, I undertook detailed research as an astrologer to understand the deeper planetary indications. After considerable effort, I found the following relevant Shlokas from Acharya Mukund Devagya Parvatiya’s Aayunirnay, Verses 83–84, which describe the Yoga for death or severe suffering in prison/bondage:
Sanskrit:
पापाकान्ते सन्भोगैर्नदृष्टे ध्यायुगेंहे बन्धनात्पञ्चता स्यात् ।यूने ध्वान्तारौ ध्वजध्वान्तयुक्ते काध्ये काले पावके पौर्याते ॥८३॥कारागेहे बन्धनेनात्ययः स्याद्रन्ध्रीशाधिष्ठितह्यंशनाथे ।मान्दियालादित्य पुत्रान्विते किमेवं भूते भानुपुत्रेऽपि तद्वत् ॥८४॥
English translation:
If malefices occupy the 5th or 8th house and there is no aspect from benefices, death occurs in bondage (prison). If the Sun is with Rahu or Ketu in the 7th, Venus is in the 8th, and a malefic is in the lagna, death occurs from imprisonment/bondage in jail. If the lord of the drekkana occupying the 8th house is conjoined with Gulika, Saturn, or Rahu, and Saturn is also with Gulika and Rahu, death occurs in prison (karavas) from bondage.
Chart Analysis
In Imran Khan's chart (sourced from Journalofastrology.com), the 5th house has the benefic Jupiter and Moon. However, the 8th house contains Ketu under the aspect of Mars from the Lagna. Mars is placed in Mrityu Bhaga degree [death-inflicting degree]. The drekkana of the 8th house is again related to the Moon, as the Lagna degree is 2° 28′ (first drekkana). The lord of the 8th house sign Cancer is the Moon. The Moon is placed in Leo Drekkana, and the sign lord Sun in the Rashi chart is with Saturn. And Rahu in Capricoen[ Sign of Saturn] with Gulika in 2nd house from lagna . Therefore, the Yoga given in Shloka 84 is clearly applicable. These combinations strongly signal imprisonment and indicate the difficult intentions of the present authorities towards him.
Currently he is under level-three anxiety. Is this explained by astrology? Yes. He is running the period of Jupiter–Moon–Venus. The antardasha lord Moon is with Jupiter, but Jupiter is under sign exchange with Mars (who is in Mrityu Bhaga) and is the 5th and 12th lord. Thus the Moon makes an indirect connection with the 12th lord (imprisonment). The 8th house has Ketu under the aspect of Mars, the 12th lord. The Moon, as 8th lord, is connected with the 12th lord Mars and is under the aspect of the 6th lord Venus (disease, mental worry, eye trouble, etc.).
The Moon in astrology represents the mental state of the person. Due to the involvement of Mars in Mrityu Bhaga as the 12th lord, and the 12th house representing imprisonment, mental pain, fear from enemies, and the left eye, the current psychological pressure and anxiety are clearly indicated. And the Moon, the 8th lord, is connected with the 12th lord Mars and under the aspect of 6th lord Venus [disease, mental worry, eye trouble, etc.]. In the Navamsa, the Moon (antardasha lord) is in Paap Katari Yoga and under the aspect of Mars. The connection of Mars with the Moon, and with the 4th lord Jupiter in
the Rashi Chart and the Moon is the 4th lord in Navamsa, points to issues related to blood pressure.
Upcoming Critical Period
Soon he will enter the dasha of Jupiter–Mars–Mars from 2 November 2026. Mars, placed in Mrityu Bhaga and aspecting the 8th house with malefic Ketu, fulfils the condition of Shloka 83. The Mars antardasha will continue till 9 October 2027. Within this period, the Jupiter–Mars–Ketu combination is particularly very dangerous for his health, as both the antardasha and pratyantardasha lords participate in the Yoga given in Shloka 83. He should therefore be extremely careful about his health during this phase.
Conclusion
I am a long-time admirer of Imran Khan as a great fast bowler and captain of the Pakistan team. My intention in writing this analysis is only to pray to the Almighty to protect his life and health. Through this article, I also wish to request all sports lovers and well-wishers to raise their voice and put moral pressure on the Pakistan Government for his safety and proper medical care. Although Jupiter, as Lagna lord, is in exchange with Mars and aspects Mars in both Rashi and Navamsa, giving some hope, the combinations remain serious enough to warrant caution and collective prayers.
