Interrelated Destiny in Vedic Astrology: Guru Shri K.N. Rao’s Teachings on Family Horoscope Connections

The concept of interrelated destiny, taught by Guru K.N. Rao, was demonstrated in classroom settings using horoscopes of family members. A wife's horoscope can reveal significant events in her husband's life, such as rise, fall, or tragedy, while a husband's horoscope can similarly reflect such events for his wife and children. This concept will be tested using charts from Astrodatabank, Journal of Astrology, and my personal collection.
Case Study 1 - Assassination of Kennedy
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis - Was also known as Jackie O, was the first lady of the United States from 1961 to 1963, as the wife of President John F. Kennedy (married JFK - 1953).
She became a cultural icon as First Lady known for her style and elegance. Their time in the White House is famously remembered as "Camelot," and she was celebrated for her grace and dedication to the arts, even as she faced personal tragedy, including JFK's assassination

The assassination of President John F. Kennedy occurred on November 22, 1963, at approximately 12:30 p.m. in Dallas, Texas. Jacqueline Kennedy’s horoscope (A-rated from Astrodatabank) shows Moon conjunct Rahu in the 7th house (representing the husband). In her Navamsa chart, Moon is with Saturn, the Yogakaraka for Taurus Navamsa, in the 12th house (secret plots), aspected by Mars, the 12th lord (secret plots).
Additionally, Mars in the 6th house (attack) and the 7th lord (husband) in the Navamsa further reinforce this indication. On the day of the assassination, Jacqueline was under Moon-Rahu-Moon Dasha. The Moon-Rahu conjunction in the 7th house signifies intense mental trauma due to her husband’s assassination. In the Navamsa, Moon with Saturn in the 12th house, aspected by Mars (12th lord), clearly points to the tragic event involving a secret plot. Notably, the Antar Dasha lord Rahu (secret plot) is also in the 7th house of the Navamsa, further emphasizing the tragic event related to her husband, as Rahu’s sign lord, Mars, is in the 6th house of attack.
Case study 2 - Assassination of Rajiv Gandhi
Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated on May 21, 1991. In Sonia Gandhi’s horoscope (data from journalofastrology.com), Moon in the 12th house is under Nakshatra exchange with Rahu in the 11th house, aspected by Yogakaraka Mars in Mrityu Bhaga at 1 degree 9 minutes 52 seconds.

On the fateful day, she was under Saturn-Rahu-Saturn Dasha. Due to the Moon-Rahu Nakshatra exchange, the Dasha was effectively Saturn-Moon-Saturn. Moon in the 12th house, which is the 6th (attack) from the 7th house (husband), and Saturn, the Mahadasha and Pratyantar Dasha lord, is the 7th lord, aspects the 7th house, and is malefic due to 8th house lordship. In the Navamsa, Saturn, the Mahadasha lord in the 10th house, aspects the 7th house (husband), while the Antar Dasha lord Rahu in the 5th house is aspected by Moon (6th lord, attack), clearly indicating the tragic event. The Rahu Antar Dasha, influenced by the Moon-Rahu Nakshatra exchange, caused the mental trauma of this tragic event.
Case Study 3 Assassination of Indira Gandhi
Indira Gandhi was the first and only female Prime Minister of India, serving from 1966 to 1977 and again from 1980 until her assassination in 1984.
She was the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister, and played a pivotal role in shaping India's political landscape during the Cold War era
This tragic event is analyzed through the horoscope of her elder son, Rajiv Gandhi, with birth details recently corrected and given an AA rating on Astrodatabank.
Rajiv Gandhi's Horoscope
Birth date - 20th August 1944, Time of birth 06:34 AM, Place of birth - Mumbai, India
His chart shows Saturn in the 12th house (secret plot) under Nakshatra exchange with Rahu (secret plot) in the Lagna. Saturn, the 8th lord (calamity), aspects the 4th lord Venus (mother) and Moon (Karaka for mother). On the fateful day, Rajiv was under Rahu-Rahu-Venus Dasha. Due to the Nakshatra exchange, Rahu acted as Saturn, aspecting the Pratyantar Dasha lord Venus (mother) and Moon.
In the Navamsa, Mahadasha and Antar Dasha lord Rahu is in the 8th house (calamity) with Moon (mother), under the aspect of exalted Mars (malefic) and Saturn (malefic). Venus, the Pratyantar Dasha lord, is debilitated in Navamsa but well-placed in the 5th house of Dashamsha (Mukhya Mantri, as per BPHS) under a sign exchange with Saturn in the Lagna of D-10, facilitating his rise to the position of Prime Minister.
Case Study 4 - Fatal Accident of Sanjay Gandhi
Sanjay Gandhi (1946–1980) was an influential and controversial Indian politician, the younger son of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Feroze Gandhi. During his mother's time in power, particularly the Emergency period of 1975-1977, he became a powerful, albeit unelected, advisor and was widely seen as her likely successor as the leader of the Indian National Congress party and Prime Minister.Â
Sanjay Gandhi died in a plane crash while performing an aerobatic maneuver on June 23, 1980. To validate the new birth time provided by Astrodatabank and illustrate the theory of interrelated destiny, the horoscope of his elder brother, Rajiv Gandhi, is analyzed.
On that day, Rajiv was under Mars-Mercury-Saturn Dasha. Mars is in the 3rd house (younger brother), and Mercury, the 3rd lord (younger brother) in the 2nd house, is aspected by Saturn, the 8th lord (calamity). The Lagna is in Mrityu Bhaga degrees in Ashlesha Nakshatra, making Mercury, the lord of Ashlesha, death-inflicting, and it is conjunct Moon (mother) and Venus (4th lord, mother).
In the D-3 chart (siblings), Mercury in the 2nd house (Maraka) is aspected by Saturn (12th lord, loss) and Mars (2nd lord, Maraka), clearly indicating the death of his younger brother.
As the Antar Dasha was of Mercury (3rd lord, younger brother) and Pratyantar Dasha was of Saturn (8th lord, calamity), this fatal accident involving the younger brother occurred.
