How the Attacks Started
Initially, Iran focused its attacks on Israel. However, its strategy quickly changed. Iran began launching thousands of drones and missiles at Gulf countries, particularly the UAE. This was a clear message to America and Israel, as the UAE is a close ally of both nations.
When America and Israel commenced their joint military operation against Iran on February 28, 2026, Iran retaliated swiftly. It did not limit its attacks to Israel; it also targeted America's allies in the Gulf—Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and most notably, the UAE.
Iran's strikes did not only target military installations. Civilian areas such as airports, hotels, homes, and crucial oil and gas facilities were also hit. Iran aims to escalate the costs of the war for everyone involved. It hopes that the Gulf nations will pressure America to halt the conflict and agree to a ceasefire.
Early reports indicate that Gulf countries experienced significantly more attacks than Israel. In the first 11 days, there were approximately 3,100 attacks on Gulf nations, while Israel faced only 433. Among all Gulf nations, the UAE suffered the most. Iran perceives the UAE as an easy target and the first "domino" to fall.
My Personal Reflection as an Astrologer
As an astrologer, I practice my craft with dedication, but I could not foresee these events. I was unable to predict this conflict. It never crossed my mind that such a situation could arise. Consequently, I had not focused on the horoscope of the UAE. After these events unfolded, I turned to the nation's horoscope to comprehend the cosmic implications.
I employed the principles of mundane astrology from Indian astrology. Mundane astrology is the branch that examines the fate of nations, cities, and significant global occurrences. It utilizes the national horoscope, planetary transits, dashas, and house significations. For instance, the 1st house indicates the nation's condition, the 8th house reveals hidden resources like oil and the potential for destruction, the 12th house signifies losses and war, and the 3rd house pertains to neighboring countries. This framework allows us to grasp the cosmic reasons behind wars and attacks on nations.

UAE National Horoscope Analysis
The UAE has an Aquarius Lagna. Its 3rd lord (representing neighboring countries) and 10th lord (indicating royalty and the head of state), Mars, is positioned in the Lagna, under the aspect of the Lagna lord, Saturn, from the 4th house. Saturn, the Lagna lord of the UAE, resides in the 4th house and is aspected by Jupiter.
In the Navamnsa chart, Jupiter and Saturn are in sign exchange. Both Saturn and Mars mutually aspect each other in the Rashi Chart. Saturn also governs the 12th house, which relates to foreign countries and war. The UAE holds about 6% of the world's proven oil reserves and ranks among the top for natural gas. Abu Dhabi controls the vast majority of these resources.
Through my research on the charts of leading crude oil-producing countries, I noticed a consistent connection between Saturn (representing oil, underground mines, and minerals) and the 8th house (linked to hidden resources beneath the earth). I am sharing the link to that research article https://www.astroseekers.com/post/crude-oil-surplus-nations-and-saturn.
In the UAE's chart, this connection is not derived from the Lagna but from the Moon. The Moon is the strongest planet in Shadbalam. Saturn is conjunct with the exalted Vargottama Moon, which possesses directional strength. This Saturn aspects the 8th lord, Jupiter, in the Rashi chart. In the Navamnsa chart, Saturn again aspects the 8th lord, Mercury. Moreover, the 8th lord (representing resources beneath the earth) from the Lagna is located in the 11th house, signaling gains from oil exports.
This is confirmed in the Navamnsa chart as well—the 8th lord, Mercury, is also the 11th lord. It is conjunct with the 9th lord, Moon, and is under the aspect of the 10th lord, Sun. In the Navamnsa chart, Venus (the 7th lord) and Moon (the 9th lord) are in sign exchange. This has established the nation as a highly attractive business hub for the international community.
Current Dasha and Challenges
At present, the nation is under the Vimshottari Dasha of Venus – Saturn – Mars. According to Bhavartha Ratnakar (Chapter 12, Shloka 1), a person or nation does not experience favorable outcomes when Venus Antardasha occurs within Saturn Mahadasha, or when Saturn Antardasha runs within Venus Mahadasha.
Here, the aspect of Jupiter on Saturn serves as a saving grace. However, the Antardasha lord, Venus, is with Mercury, the 5th lord and 8th lord (associated with calamity). The Mahadasha and Antardasha lords are positioned 6-8 from each other, indicating the challenges the nation faces.
The economy has been severely impacted. In the D-60 chart, both malefic planets, Mars and Saturn, influence the 2nd house (representing accumulated wealth and financial condition) and the 11th house (gains from other nations). In the Rashi chart, Mars (3rd lord of neighboring countries) and Saturn (Lagna lord representing the UAE) are aspecting each other.
The dasha commenced on January 30, 2026. Attacks on the UAE are expected to persist until April 8, 2026, during the Saturn-Venus-Mars dasha, as Mars aspects the 8th house of calamity in the Rashi chart. In the Navamsa, Mars, as the 6th lord (indicating attacks), aspects the 7th lord and 12th lord, Venus (representing war and losses).
Following this period, the dasha will transition to Saturn – Venus – Rahu. Rahu is located in the 12th house (linked to war, losses, espionage, and secret plots) in the Rashi chart. Due to the sign exchange between Moon and Venus (12th lord and 7th lord), Rahu is indirectly connected with the 12th lord, Venus. The sign lord of Rahu is Saturn, which aspects the Lagna and Mars.
The UAE must exercise caution regarding national safety until September 28, 2026, during Saturn-Venus-Rahu. A cyber-attack is also a potential threat, along with other covert dangers. The upcoming Mars Pratyantar, with its aspect on the 8th house of calamity, and the subsequent Saturn-Venus-Rahu period indicate that losses due to the adverse effects of war may continue until September 28, 2026. Achieving peace may take several more months. Relief will only be realized in Saturn-Venus-Jupiter from September 28, 2026, as Jupiter is the 2nd lord (indicating the financial condition of the nation) in both Rashi and Navamsa charts. Additionally, Jupiter is in sign exchange with Saturn in the Navamsa and aspects the 11th house of gain or alliance with foreign countries.
This incident has imparted a vital lesson to me. As astrologers, we must regularly study the horoscopes of nations and major cities. Mundane astrology enables us to perceive the broader cosmic picture behind world events. I now understand that even a prosperous and peaceful nation like the UAE can encounter sudden challenges during difficult planetary periods. The UAE's close ties with America and Israel also influence this cosmic and geopolitical narrative.
